So far this spring has been well below norms as far as the temps go.In April we saw 3 thunderstorm days...Thunderstorm days are days where one hears thunder.First day was 04/05/08 the second one was on 04/10/08 this day also had thundersnow..The last thunderstorm day for April was on 04/21/08...So in May we saw two thunderstorm days..I'm going to have to check my records I think there may have been more..Nevertheless here are the ones I have recorded in front of me attm..05/02/08...Then on 05/25/08..This is the day we had widespread severe thunderstorms through out the area..The supercell that moved out of Southern Polk County into Southern Barron County did produce large hail and areas of damaging winds..See May pictures for more info..

June has been a much better month for thunderstorms,though temps have remained rather cool we still did have some warmer temps than we did in may..So far in June we had 11 thunderstorm days.We still have 8 days to go with more chances of thunderstorms,so I'm sure I will be updating this page at months end...Days/Nights that we had thunderstorms in Barron County are as follows...June 5,6,7,11,12,14,15,19,20,21,and 22...See June for pictures.Updated on Aug 9th... We had 13 thunderstorms days.Add the 27th and 28th to the count above...

July saw warmer temps,however not as hot as last year.This aided in bring more thunderstorms to the area...Thunderstorm days for July came in at 6 days...Days that had thunderstorms  are..July 6,11,16,17,19,and the 25th...

July

August started out with a bang...Central and Northern Barron County rocked rocked with a severe thunderstom on Sunday the 3rd..This storm packed winds ranging from 50 to almost 70 MPH.It downed 2 to 3 foot dim tress and power poles and lines.See pictures....So far we only had 2 thunderstorm days this month..On the 3rd and again on the 6th...I'm sure I will be updating this at months end....So far this month temps have been cooler than norms and look to remain that way through the middle of the month...

August

September

September brought us 5 thunderstorm days.This is down by one thunderstorm day from August..We did have a bout of severe thunderstorms move through Barron County on the late night of Friday Sept 26 th..This storm brought hail to the Central and Northern areas of the County,along with the hail there was some tress reported blown down..I did not get a chance at getting out to see if the reports I heard were true or not,do to a broken foot.....Days we had thunderstorm days are as follows...the 2nd,7th,11th,23,and the 26th....Pictures of some of these storms will be added soon...

October brought us 1 thunderstorm day...I think there may have been one other that I forgot to mark down...For now I will call it one day...Was dealing with the broken foot yet,so really didn't care about much about anything else....The thunderstorm day happened on the 11th....This is down by 4 thunderstorms days from Sept...Which normally happens in the fall...October also brought us our first snowfall of the season...Days/nights we saw snow was on the following...26th,and 27th....I did pick up a dusting of snow Sunday night...What will Nov brings us ? we will find out shortly....
Also side note this weekend turn your clocks back before going to bed on Nov 1st(Saturday night)

October
